Prevent Tooth Decay: Stop Snacking, Eat Healthy!

The dental industry is predicting that our “snacking” lifestyle will cause more cavities. In today’s society, it is more common to have a fast-paced, busy lifestyle. Therefore, it is harder to have a healthy substantial meal. Unfortunately, it is causing an increase in the consumption of fast food and snacks— a quick grab. Dr. Simon is concerned with this new eating habit because the more often you eat poorly, the more exposure your teeth have to sugary foods. It is the frequency that causes the most decay.

What to do:

  • Eat more substantial meals.
  • Snack on low sugar foods: veggies, fruits, and nuts.
  • Come to Dental Care for regular cleanings to catch any cavities before they grow too big!

It is more valuable to make the time in your busy schedule to grab something healthy to eat.
In the long run, it is simpler and cheaper to keep your smile healthy!
