For many people porcelain veneers and crowns can be an ideal solution. They create natural, beautiful results quickly and can address a wide variety of problems like:
The first step is to take photographs and create models of the patient’s teeth and face so we can evaluate patient concerns and make suggestions as to what would be the best solution.
This very attractive young woman has teeth that are discolored and not in good proportion. The front teeth are long and too big for the shorter side teeth. The desired outcome was to eliminate the discolorations and bring the teeth into a more natural proportion.
Once we made models of the teeth we then used dental wax to change the shape and position of the teeth to the desired proportions. The model allows us to plan the final result in advance and to make temporary veneers.
The temporary veneers are applied and the person leaves the office with an improved smile on the very first day! When the temporary veneers are in place we can evaluate how these changes look in the person’s mouth. At this point we make any needed adjustments, take new photographs, create new models and select the final desired tooth shade. All of that information is sent to our technicians who will create the new permanent veneers in the dental lab.
Once the permanent veneers are received from the lab the temporary veneers are removed and the new permanent ones are bonded onto the person’s teeth.
After treatment you can see that the final result is a natural looking enhancement of her smile and that we achieved the desired results by making the teeth in natural proportion and eliminating the discolorations.
